Baseline Pickleball Inaugural Doubles Ladder League
Welcome to Baseline Pickleball's inaugural Doubles Ladder League! This exciting coed competition combines flexible scheduling, competitive match play, and a fun social atmosphere over a six-week regular season.
League Overview
6-week regular season
Coed format (men and women compete together)
Flexible scheduling to fit your availability
End-of-season indoor tournament included
DUPR ratings will be used only to establish the initial ladder rankings
Match results will not be submitted to DUPR
Tournament scheduling details will be announced at a later date.
League Format
The league will follow a Flex Doubles Scramble Ladder format.
Each week, players will be placed into a new group based on their current ladder position. Within your group, you'll rotate partners and opponents throughout the week, playing:
A minimum of one game with each partner
Up to three games with each partner
At the end of the week, players will move up or down the ladder based on their performance:
Top performers move up the ladder
Lower performers move down the ladder
This format creates fresh matchups every week while rewarding consistent play and improvement.
Flexible Scheduling
As a flex league, players have the freedom to schedule matches at locations, dates, and times that work best for everyone in their group. Once matches are completed, scores will be entered into the league app.
Substitutions
If you are unable to play during a given week, it is your responsibility to find a substitute.
To help facilitate substitutions and league communication, a WhatsApp group will be created for all participants. Any player may serve as a substitute, including players who are already assigned to a group that week.
Once a substitute has been confirmed, please notify the Baseline Team in the WhatsApp group so league records can be updated accordingly.
Schedule Notes
The week of July 4th will be a scheduled bye week, with no league play required.
Awards & Extras
🏅 Medals will be awarded to the winners of the end-of-season tournament.
🎥 PB Vision match analysis will be provided for all medal matches, giving finalists the opportunity to review detailed performance insights and highlights.

SENIOR SCRAMBLE 65+ Sponsored by Hanson Insurance
Join us for a fun, social, and competitive indoor pickleball event created exclusively for active adults ages 65 and over.
This special event is FREE to attend, courtesy of Hanson Insurance.
Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, our coed scramble format keeps everyone engaged with rotating partners, continuous play, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people and enjoy the game.
Indoor Event, Rain or Shine Exclusively for Adults Ages 65+
Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. Additional prizes courtesy of Hanson Insurance Complimentary snacks and drinks provided
Hanson Insurance representatives will be available throughout the event to provide Medicare information and plan guidance for those interested.
Space is limited to 50 players, registration is required.

Meet the people behind Baseline Pickleball
Our Story: From a Shared Court to the Gold Standard
Every great venture begins with a single serve. For Baseline Pickleball, that serve took place on a random night at a local pickleball club, where two "randoms" were paired together for a standard round-robin.
Eddie, a program manager with an eye for building and executing precise projects, and Rick, an experienced cybersecurity leader driven by high-impact strategy, seemed like an unlikely duo. Despite their different styles, they found a unique rhythm, winning their bracket and striking up a conversation that would last far beyond the final whistle.
The Turning Point
As their friendship grew over consistent recreational games and regional tournaments, so did a shared frustration. They loved the sport, but they were consistently disappointed by the lack of professional execution at the amateur level. They saw taped-down lines, confusing paper brackets, and a general lack of the "pro-tour" atmosphere that a sport this dynamic deserved.
The vision for Baseline Pickleball was clear: to build a community and an event experience that matched the energy of the players on the court.

They combined Eddie’s expertise in project execution and logistics with Rick’s strategic mindset and high-stakes operational experience. Their goal was simple: to bridge the gap between casual open-play and the professional tour.
Today, Baseline Pickleball is the realization of that fated night. We don’t just host tournaments; we create immersive athletic experiences. We bring the same passion we found on that first shared court to every event we produce—ensuring that every player, from the CEO to the first-timer, feels like they are playing on center court.
